VIRGIN ATLANTIC have said they will “push for prosecution” following COURTNEY LOVE‘s arrest this morning (February 4) for “disruptive behaviour” on a flight into LONDON’s HEATHROW AIRPORT.
The star was arrested at 11.05 this morning by police who met flight VS008 on the tarmac at Heathrow. The pilot had alerted the police at 10.52. It is alleged the former Hole frontwoman was shouting and refused to sit down and put on her belt. Love, travelling in the Upper Class lounge, was arrested for disruptive and abusive behaviour.
In a statement to NME.COM this afternoon, the airline said:
“The safety of all our passengers and crew is of paramount importance.We will not tolerate disruptive behaviour by passengers on board any of our aircraft, always report it to the authorities and always push for prosecution.”
There is no indication yet what punishment Lovecould face.
The 38-year-old, arriving in London> to attend a charity concert at the Old Vic Theatre> tomorrow night (February 5), is being held at a police station at Heathrow Airport.
