Courtney Love brands her biography ‘a disaster’

'The Girl With The Most Cake' was originally due for release in 2013

Courtney Love has described her forthcoming memoir as a “disaster”, stating that she never wanted to write a book in the first place.

Love’s biography, titled The Girl With The Most Cake, was originally due to be released in 2013 but has yet to appear on shelves. Speaking to a journalist from Paper Magazine who spotted a manuscript for the book while at Love’s house for an interview, the musician spoke honestly about the progress being made.

“It’s a disaster,” Love said. “A nightmare.” The former Hole singer went on to sat that her relationship with her co-writer is “just not working,” and that she, “never wanted to write a book in my entire life. It just sort of happened.”

The book charts Love’s life up until 2006, a period she insisted was off limits. “It has to stop. What happens from 2006 on in the book is my personal business. I’ve been discreet from that time on, and I want to keep it that way.”

Another project of Love’s that is showing more signs of fruition is the long-awaited Kurt Cobain biopic, which is due to enter production within the next year. Love set the timescale in a recent interview in which she also said she won’t be deciding who plays her late husband.

Love previously revealed to NME that she has ambitious plans for her late husband’s legacy, including a documentary and stage play. Love stated that it has been fans’ reactions to the possibility of a stage production involving Cobain’s story which has made it now “very likely” to happen.
