Cradle Of Filth will play a one-off Christmas show at London WC2 Astoria complete with trapeze artists, fire-breathers, snakes, spiders and onstage body-piercing.
The December 18 gig will be the band’s first UK date for more than a year. Their last was at Vampyria, a festival for ‘vampires’.
Appearing onstage with the Filth will be members of the Circus Of Horrors travelling show, who have been described as a vaudevillian version of America’s infamous Jim Rose Circus.
A spokesman for Cradle Of Filth told NME: “This show promises to be Cradle‘s most surprising, inventive and shocking to date.
“They’ve always been known for their extravagant live shows, which in the past have featured fountains of blood pouring into the audience, chained and caged dancing fetish girls and walls of fire direct from the depths of hell.”
