TRUE STEPPERS and WYCLEF JEAN both release singles today (November 20), but the battle for Number One this coming Sunday (November 26) is likely to fought between DESTINY’S CHILD, RONAN KEATING and CRAIG DAVID.
Keating releases the second single from his eponymous debut album, ‘The Way You Make Me Feel’, via Polydor, while Craig David releases ‘Walking Away’ through Wildstar. Destiny’s Child release ‘Independent Women Part 1’ through Columbia.
A spokesperson for HMV in London told NME.COM that it was possible that any of these would be the highest selling single this week. He said: “It’s difficult to say, but they should all do very well. Craig David has a massive fanbase now, but the Destiny’s Child single is from the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ film soundtrack, so that could just do it.”
Elsewhere, True Steppers team up with ex-East 17 member Brian Harvey on ‘True Step Tonight’, while Wyclef Jean teams up with Mary J Blige on ‘911’. Both singles are expected to enter the Top 20.
Of the big album releases, the Wu-Tang Clan release their long awaited third album ‘The W’, Artful Dodger release ‘It’s All About The Stragglers’ and Twisted Nerve boss Andy Votel releases his debut album ‘Styles Of The Unexpected’.
The main chart battle for the Number One spot however is expected to be between the Backstreet Boys, who release their new album ‘Black and Blue’, and A1, who release ‘The A List’.
NME.COM will bring you the latest on who is winning the respective chart battles throughout the week.
