Craig David has shared a festive cover of Judy Garland classic ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’.
The cover, performed live from atop a grand piano, comes at the end of a rollercoaster year for David, whose career has rocketed back into the spotlight following the release of 2016’s ‘Following My Intuition’ album.
Check out Craig David’s take on the Christmas classic below.
In a statement, Craig David says: “This year has been so amazing and I’m so grateful to everyone that has supported me and shown so much love for my new music and live shows. I love this time of the year, especially because I can reflect on how incredible the year and those moments have been with those closest to me. Spending some quality time with my Mum & Dad is going to be so good. No doubt ‘Home Alone’ will be on rotation in the background, which was the inspiration for doing this cover as it was one of my favourites from the movie. Have a great Christmas with your loved ones and I’m excited for what the new year has in store. Especially the new album ‘The Time is Now’ – dropping January 26th.”
The huge track follows the release of recent single ‘Heartline’ and is one of the first big name collaborations to be revealed from the record, which also features collaborations with JP Cooper, AJ Tracey, Ella Mai and Goldlink.
“I’ve been a Bastille fan for a long time and we’ve been waiting for the right moment to collaborate,” Craig said of the track.
“I’m so excited to release this track and hope you love it as much as I do. Hearing Dan’s voice on this kind of record is a special moment, when we perform this live its going to absolutely go off, and I can’t wait to play it in my TS5 set this summer.”
