K-pop boyband CRAVITY have dropped the video for ‘Gas Pedal’, the lead single off their first studio album ‘The Awakening: Written In The Stars’.
Today (August 19), the South Korean act unveiled the exciting new music video for their latest single ‘Gas Pedal’. The new track acts as the lead single of their first-ever full-length record, which released at the same time.
In the music video, the boyband use a combination of sci-fi elements and special effects to create a futuristic world. CRAVITY also allow their powerful dance moves to take centre stage in some shots, showing off their challenging new choreography.
“Swerve, to the left now / Gas pedal gas pedal gas pedal uh! / Run (go mad), we swervin’ all night,” they chant in the song’s addictive chorus.
The group’s new eight-track record, ‘The Awakening: Written In The Stars’ is their second comeback this year, following the mini-album ‘Season 3. Hideout: Be Our Voice’ in January. Featuring lead single ‘My Turn’, the project was the third instalment of the boyband’s ‘Hideout’ series.
CRAVITY’s agency Starship Entertainment first confirmed in June that the nine-member act would be making their comeback in August. The agency had stated that the group would make their return with “more evolved music and performances”.
In other K-pop news, J-Hope of K-pop juggernauts BTS has opened up about the group’s ever-growing international success. In a new interview with Weverse Magazine, the 27-year-old rapper and producer spoke about the popularity of their May single ‘Butter’ and how its triumph on the charts has affected him.
