Crystal Castles have revealed a new song. Scroll down to listen to ‘Deicide’ now.
‘Deicide’ is the second song to be released by Crystal Castles since Alice Glass split from bandmate Ethan Kath last year. ‘Decide’ again features vocalist Edith, which some fans have speculated is Kath manipulating his own vocals.
Posting a message to accompany the song, Kath writes: “Sincere thank you for the support. A new Crystal Castles album is on the way, ‘Frail’ and ‘Deicide’ are just a peak at what’s to come.”

Earlier this year Ethan Kath responded to ex-bandmate Alice Glass’ public criticisms of him.
Crystal Castles returned earlier this year with Kath saying Glass did not contribute lyrics or vocals to some of their biggest songs.
Glass subsequently hit back at Kath, sending a series of tweets defending herself and her contribution to Crystal Castles music. In one of the messages she wrote: “Manipulative statements about my contributions to the band only reinforce the decision I made to move on to other things”.
Kath subsequently moved to try and quash any ill-feeling between the pair. Explaining why he had originally released the statement, he said: “I meant no harm to her, I was referring to her recent statements in i-D magazine that she left the band so she can finally ‘be herself’, she was ‘living a lie’ in CC and she was ready to ‘own her own darkness’. I didn’t belittle her or make any derogatory comments, I was acknowledging what she had already said herself.”
Crystal Castles formed in Toronto in 2004 and went on to release three studio LPs – 2008’s ‘(i)’, 2010’s ‘(ii) and 2012’s ‘(iii)’. During their career, the band worked with Cure frontman Robert Smith on 2010 single ‘Not In Love’ and also took part in the NME Awards Tour in 2011 alongside Magnetic Man, The Vaccines and Everything Everything.
Their last show together was on October 4, 2013 in Mexico.
