Crystal Castles play frenetic Glastonbury dance tent show

Ethan Kath and Alice Glass bring the dance to Worthy Farm

Crystal Castles played a typically frenetic show in Glastonbury‘s East Dance tent this evening (June 27) on the final day of musical action at the Somerset event.

Singer Alice Glass, true to live form, spent much of the set in the crowd or perched on the band’s tour manager’s shoulders as she got up close and personal.

Songwriter/producer Ethan Kath ran the show from his synth set-up, flitting between his synth and guitar and occasionally adding vocals. Kath, Glass and their live drummer were surrounded by dry ice.

The set was heavy with material from the band’s recent second album, including ‘Celestica’ and ‘Baptism’, among older fan favourites.

NME will be coming live from Glastonbury throughout the weekend. Head to NME.COM/glastonbury for the latest festival news.
