OVER THE HILL?

Reports that B-Real is set to walk out intensify...

Cypress Hill have denied there is a rift in the band, despite growing rumours that B-REAL is poised to walk out of the trio.

A spokesperson for the hip-hop stars played down mounting speculation that a split was in the offing, insisting that everything was going fine with the band.

The rumours had built up over the weekend to the point where insiders said the band were barely speaking to each prior to their V2000 shows at Stafford and Chelmsford (August 19, 20). There was a tangible and edgy atmosphere surrounding the trio at the Chelmsford site and their spokesperson confirmed that they had had a falling out, but would give no further details except to say: “It’s always like that with Cypress Hill, it’s nothing new. They’re not going to split. They’re going to release a live album in November recorded last week at the Fillmore in LA.”

He added that the band were also going to work quite a lot on their many side projects but that didn’t signal an end to Cypress Hill.
