DaBaby released without charge after two people shot in Miami’s South Beach

The rapper is yet to directly comment on the incident, which occurred on Monday night (May 31)

DaBaby has been released without charge by police in Miami following a shoot-out in South Beach on Monday night (May 31).

The rapper, real name Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was originally detained after the fight left two people injured, a Miami Beach Police spokesman confirmed.

In a statement to TMZ.com, the rapper’s attorney Drew Findling subsequently confirmed: “Mr. Kirk has been released by the police. No criminal charges have been filed against him.”

The publication also reports that another rapper called Wisdom, who is thought to be part of the star’s entourage, was arrested for attempted murder with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Another man, called Christopher Urena, is said to have been arrested on a series of charges including attempted murder after he was allegedly seen shooting a man in the back.

Police say that the victim is still in a critical condition at the nearby Ryder Trauma Center and is reportedly paralysed.

It is thought that the shooting took place in Miami Beach near a cluster of popular restaurants at around 11:30 pm on Monday.

According to local reports, two people were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center after they suffered leg and shoulder injuries.

The rapper is yet to directly comment on the incident.
