The robot DJs rock the house
Daft Punk thrilled the massive crowd at their sold-out show at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena on Saturday night (July 21).
The Parisian duo stood atop a giant pyramid throughout their 90-minute set, dressed in their trademark silver robot costumes.
Entering to the minimalist five-tone alien greeting made famous in the film ‘Close Encounters Of The Third Kind’, Daft Punk proceeded to work the crowd into a dance frenzy with crowd-pleasers including ‘Aerodynamic’ and ‘Da Funk’.
An impressive light display accompanied the French DJs, at times illuminating the entire arena in multi-coloured laser beam explosions reminiscent of the early ’90s rave scene.
Several scantily clad fans carried glowsticks in the sweltering arena, which throbbed non-stop with dance music throughout the night from openers Ratatat and French DJs Sebastian & Kavinsky, who warmed up the crowd with lively sets.
