Daft Punk to release new action figures costing £100 each

The figurines feature the all-white outfits the duo wore during their 2015 Grammy Awards performance

Daft Punk has released a new line of action figures, featuring the all-white outfits they wore during their 2015 Grammy Awards performance.

The figurines will be released by Medicom Toy and Daft Punk’s official merchandise company Daft Lite in March 2016 and will cost 21,600 Japanese Yen (roughly £100) for each figure of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. You can pre-order the toys here.

The white jumpsuits were worn by Daft Punk for their performance of ‘Get Lucky’ with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder at the Grammys last year. Watch that performance beneath and see photos of the figures above/below.

In 2013, Daft Punk released another pair of figures via Bandai and Japan’s SH Figuarts.

Meanwhile, Daft Punk are among the bookies’ favourites to headline Glastonbury Festival during 2016.

The electronic duo’s Thomas Bangalter recently made an unmasked cameo in French film Reality alongside Napoleon Dynamite actor Jon Heder.

The movie was directed by Quentin Dupieux (aka Ed Banger Records producer Mr Oizo) and is out now.

Daft Punk released their most recent album in 2013 in the form of ‘Random Access Memories’.
