Tom Jones has had a 47-year ban on visiting the tiny Welsh village of Fochriw lifted. He was blacklisted from the town in 1963, after being accused of stealing a chicken that was a raffle prize after one of his gigs. Len Davies, 80. remembers the incident: “There was a fight and then the chicken had gone. Tom got the blame – but nobody really knows” (Daily Star).
