Gary Barlow's fat fan, Gaga's fish and chips, Ringo's home – your music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Although the news is yet to be confirmed officially, Foo Fighters are rumoured to be headlining next year’s T In The Park festival. An apparently “well placed source” let slip that the Balado, Kinross festival could feature in Dave Grohl and co’s touring schedule, while also providing a handy reminder of who the band actually are – in case anyone had forgotten. “The Foos, as they are affectionately known, are massive,” the source cannily explained, adding that “Dave and the lads” have enjoyed playing the Scottish festival in previous years. The source also revealed that Biffy Clyro could also headline the festival but, again, this is yet to be confirmed by organisers (Daily Record).
From the papers:
Lady Gaga‘s tour of traditional British establishments continues. After having a pint of bitter at Chiswick pub The Raven earlier this week, she went to the Sea Shell Of Lisson Grove for fish and chips. Next on her list: jellied eels in London‘s east end? Possibly (Daily Mirror).
Ringo Starr‘s childhood home in Liverpool has been boarded up by the council to stop fans from thieving bricks ahead of its proposed demolition. Swings and roundabouts, anyone? (various).
Hollywood is awash with rumours that Keith Richards‘ scenes for the new Pirates Of The Caribbean film could be cut because Disney producers are concerned about the shock revelations regarding his drug consumption, as documented in his new biography Life. Shock to who exactly? (Independent).
It looks like Katy Perry‘s best mate Rihanna might be off her Christmas card list. She skipped her recent wedding to Russell Brand because she was “too busy”, apparently. Russell‘s mate Carl Barat also missed out on the lavish do in India, because it clashed with his UK tour (Daily Star).
