After showing off his more tender side at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011, John Lydon is back to slagging people off, we read. This time his targets include Simon Cowell for his “effeminate dress sense”, Cheryl Cole because she “doesn’t have much going on in her head” and Arsenal footballer Theo Walcott, who “needs a bit more working class in him”. Lydon said that despite being an avid Gunners supporter! (The Sun).

Speaking of the Girls Aloud singer, US super blogger Perez Hilton reckons it would “disastrous” if Cole joins the US version of The X Factor as a judge. “No-one knows who she is over here and I doubt anyone would understand her accent,” he scathed. Ouch (Daily Star).
Usher is the latest pop star to say he’d like to play this summer’s royal wedding. The R&B superstar said, “I’m not the best at weddings, but I’m there if Prince Wills needs me. It would be nice to perform for the Queen” (Daily Mirror).
Rihanna is in for another nice pay day. According to reports today the singer has demanded $50,000 (£31,000) just to host a meet-and-greet at a party in Sydney on Saturday (March 5) night (Daily Telegraph).
Snoop Dogg was clearly under-occupied yesterday. He spent the entire day posting amusing pictures of himself on Twitter, including one of him dressed up as an Avatar character (Twitter.com/snoopdogg).
Finally, Justin Timberlake is planning a return to music. The former ‘NSync man, who has been pursuing his acting career for the last two years, said he “may spend some time in the studio this summer”. He also added that he was “unemployed right now” (E! Online).
