Madame Tussauds changes Amy – your music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Spandau Ballet‘s Gary Kemp and Steve Norman have said the only way Liam and Noel Gallagher can sort out their differences is by fighting each other – either with fists or in the courtroom. “Oasis need to have a punch-up, take each other to court if that’s what it takes to get it out of their system,” Norman said after the reunited band’s Dublin gig on Tuesday (October 13), which was their first performance together since 1990. Kemp went on to compare Spandau Ballet‘s own warring nature to that of the Gallagher brothers. “Oasis need to learn from us,” he suggested. “No-one has had more fights than us. Going to the High Court for six weeks was hell. Not speaking for 19 years. I can hardly believe we made it onstage tonight” (Daily Mirror).
From the papers:
Johnny Borrell went to the Frieze Art Fair in London (The Guardian).
Alex James says blackberries are better than drugs (The Independent).
Starsuckers, a new film exposing how tabloid newspapers publish fabricated stories about celebrities, is set to premiere at the London Film Festival on October 28. The film’s team deliberately invented stories that they then sharked to tabloids, with several being printed despite being completely untrue. We’re sure some of the more dubious entries from our Daily Gossip round-up have made the cut. (The Guardian).
