Kasabian‘s Tom Meighan and Chris Edwards have said they think the band are the natural successors to Oasis‘ musical throne.

Meighan admitted that he was sad that the Gallagher brothers have gone their separate ways, saying: “I’ve heard Liam is going to carry it on without Noel but to me it’s over.” Edwards, meanwhile, said Kasabian are keen to take over from their heroes. “Festivals, stadiums and arenas will need filling and we are ready to be that band,” he commented (Daily Record).
