Pete Doherty, The Smiths, Cliff Richard – your music gossip stop
Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.
Today’s top gossip:
Gossip singer Beth Ditto has pledged to help ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ star Susan Boyle out of her recent troubles, by inviting her to form a gospel supergroup with her.
Ditto revealed she wants Boyle, currently residing in The Priory clinic after suffering from exhaustion, to sing with her and Catholic group The Priests, saying: “I’m reaching out to Susan. She should hook up with me and The Priests. We would be the world’s first gospel supergroup.”
Ditto added that she’s not pleased by the way Boyle has been treated by the tabloid press either. She said: “I think it’s horrible people have been making fun of her. Susan just wants to love Jesus and sing – it’s cute. Only I can help her out of her meltdown” (The Sun).
