Alex Turner has Chinese, Kajagoogoo return, Justin Hawkins resurfaces – Daily Ligger

Bobby Gillespie, KD Lang, Florence And The Machine – Your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Ligger: your morning stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Today’s top gossip:

Eighties pop maestros Kajagoogoo are ending their 25-year feud as original lead singer Limahl has announced he will return to front the band and play this year’s Retrofest festival.

The frontman was kicked out of the group after the global success of their track ‘Too Shy’ in 1983 – the rest of the band claimed he’d turned them into a teen pop act.

But now it seems all is forgiven and Limahl said: “I’m excited about it [the reunion] because of the idea of putting that whole emotional baggage behind me.”

He added: “I find it exciting that the original chemistry will be there.” (Daily Record)
