Boris Johnson chases Peaches Geldof – Daily Gossip

Girls Aloud, Ian Brown, Lilly Allen - your music gossip stop

Welcome to the Daily Gossip: your daily stop-off to find out who in the world of music has been up to what.

Peaches Geldof is being courted by an unlikely new suitor – London Mayor Boris Johnson. The indie celebutante was being chased by Islington Conservatives to boost the youth contingent at their annual cocktail party. Geldof confounded expectations by not turning up for the free drinks, and neither did Dido, Jade Jagger or actress Tina Hobley. A spokesman still found the time to leak a statement to the papers: “Peaches isn’t in the country, so no, she won’t be there. But if you are fishing to ask if Peaches is a supporter of Boris Johnson, as far as I’m aware, she is not” (The Independent).
