Welcome to the 10:30 Ligger: your daily pit-stop to find out who in the world of rock and indie has been spotted out and about and up to mischief.
First up, Luke Pritchard of The Kooks was allegedly thrown out of Camden’s Jazz Café venue after being accused of hitting someone. He was heard shouting “but… I didn’t mean to hit him!” as the bouncers escorted him out.
Bob Geldof and Simon Cowell turned up to Annabel’s nightclub in London for the launch of Kate Moss’ new Topshop clothes range.
The Kills’ Jamie Hince was seen with Moss earlier in the day strolling around north London wearing a large scarf.
Over in Paris, where Babyshambles are working a hectic promotional schedule, frontman Pete Doherty was spotted happily strolling around the city, taking in the sights with his finacee Irina Lazareanu.
And finally, Ian Brown was seen by an NME.COM reader walking past Nottingham’s Galleries of Justice yesterday (October 16) before playing a gig in the city.
“He looked smaller than I thought he would”, reports our source.
Our source also revealed that Brown, after playing a recent gig in Leeds, headed back to the university’s halls of residence and joined our reader’s brother in a weed smoking session. And we thought he’d given all that up (hanging around with students we mean, not smoking dope).
