Danger Mouse reportedly working on new Adele and Red Hot Chili Peppers albums

The producer will also launch a new label called 30th Century

Danger Mouse is reportedly working on both Adele and Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ new albums.

Billboard reports the musician – real name Brian Burton – is signed on to produce both LPs. It has also been reported that Burton has locked down a deal with Columbia Records to launch his own label called 30th Century.

Songwriter/producer Emile Haynie recently stated that Adele is “taking her time” on her new album, expected to be named ’25’. The producer, who has previously worked with Kanye West, Eminem, Lana Del Rey and Bruno Mars, told The Daily Star that he met with the singer in February to discuss potentially working together and that the singer was in no rush to release a new album.

“We got along well as friends when we met in February and I hope we can cut some songs, but Adele is taking her time,” he said. “I’d push for it to happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.”

Fans are eagerly awaiting Adele’s third album. Her debut ’19’ was released in 2008, followed by ’21’ in 2011. ’21’ was recently announced as the best selling album this millennium, with sales of 4.74 million since its release.

Meanwhile, late last year Flea described Red Hot Chili Peppers’ upcoming album as “super danceable” while drummer Chad Smith is also on record as saying that the band were working with an “unnamed producer.”

Josh Klinghoffer of the band previously revealed that the Chili Peppers spent a year in the studio without a producer.

In May 2014, Chad Smith also spoke about the early stages of writing the album.
