Listen to this excellent mash-up of Danny Dyer and The Streets

A perfect union

A mash-up of Danny Dyer speaking over The Streets‘ track ‘Blinded By The Lights’ has gone viral on Twitter – check out the fan-made clip below.

The union of the Eastenders actor and the Birmingham-born musician Mike Skinner’s band is the work of Twitter user David Thorp, who spliced together footage of Dyer on his show Danny Dyer’s Deadliest Men (from a 2009 episode where he documented Paddy Doherty) with clips from the video for ‘Blinded By The Lights’, which was released in 2004.

Dyer’s voice-over excellently complements The Streets’ song – which featured on the album ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ – with Thorp noting that it “turns out most things Danny Dyer says fits perfect into ‘Blinded By The Lights’ by The Streets.”

Check out the mash-up below.

Danny Dyer recently received plenty of acclaim for comments he made about Brexit and former Prime Minister David Cameron, with the actor calling the politician a “twat” twice on live television.

“Who knows about Brexit?” Dyer said during his appearance on Good Evening Britain last week. “No one’s got a fucking clue what Brexit is. You watch Question Time, it’s comedy.”
