Daphne & Celeste are considering pulling out of this year’s CARLING WEEKEND FESTIVALS following the announcement that rapper Eminem won’t be appearing either.
Eminem will not perform at this year’s festivals because of pending court appearances in the US. Now, one half of the teen-pop duo, Celeste, has told reporters she only wanted to do the festival to meet Eminem who was playing on the same day – and now he is not playing they don’t intend to show up.
She said: “I’m not doing it. I’m not joking with you. It’s a good thing we haven’t practised because it would have been a waste of time. You can make it official that I’m not doing it at all. I’m not going if I can’t meet him. It was the only thing I’ve been looking forward to.”
A UK spokesperson for Daphne and Celeste was unavailable, and not able to confirm the duo’s departure from the festival, which takes place in Reading and Leeds over the August Bank Holiday Weekend (25-28).
