‘Ooh Stick You’ hitmakers Daphne & Celeste return with new track ‘BB’ from comeback album

'Daphne & Celeste Save The World' is out in March

Daphne & Celeste have shared a new track and announced their comeback album. Scroll below to hear ‘BB’.

The bubblegum pop pair released their most famous hit ‘Ooh Stick You’ in September 1999, reaching number eight in the UK Singles Chart at the time. Their debut album ‘We Didn’t Say That!’ was released in June 2000 but only made it to #140 in the UK.

The duo returned in 2015 with the single ‘You And I Alone’, now following it with ‘BB’ from upcoming second album ‘Daphne & Celeste Save The World’, which has been produced by Max Tundra and will arrive on March 30. Pre-order the album here.

The album was made during a “working holiday” at a desert retreat near Joshua Tree. A press release describes the record as full of “giddy, ridiculous, genre-bursting pop”, featuring “Tundra’s restlessly inventive production a toothsome, chordy, maximalist feast”.

Speaking about the new song, Max Tundra explains: “BB stands for Basic Busker, any one of countless identikit instigators of mundane melodies that have brought the mood down in recent years. Pop music should lift the spirits – so why are the airwaves full of these mundane strummers?”.
