Here’s the latest trailer for Dave Grohl’s ‘Play’

7 instruments and one man. No biggie.

Dave Grohl has debuted the latest trailer for ‘Play’, the documentary which follows the creation of  his forthcoming composition of epic proportions.

The documentary follows the Foo Fighters frontman as he creates a 23 minute long original piece, on which he plays all 7 instruments. The two-part documentary has been created to accompany the original composition, which is released on August 10.

“‘Play’ represents the personal challenge faced by all musicians, who are always striving to improve. “Even now, as a 49-year-old man, I’m still trying to figure it out” said Grohl.

“It’s not something that you ever truly master. You’re always chasing the next challenge, and you’re always trying to find a way to improve on what you’ve learned.”

‘Play’ will also be transformed into an online interactive experience where viewers are able to explore Dave’s 7 performances, as well as download sheet music and learn more about local organisations working in music education.

Explaining his methods to create the final project earlier this year, Grohl added: “The best part is we’ll film everything with multiple cameras so by the end of it you will see and hear one song being played for 25 minutes, with six different Dave Grohl’s playing every note, on every single instrument, all the way through in one take.”
