Dave Grohl’s daughter has been singing backing vocals for Foo Fighters on tour

"Violet Grohl, you sound amazing!”

Dave Grohl has proved that he’s keeping it in the family, after his daughter joined Foo Fighters onstage during their North American tour.

After previously stunning Grohl’s crowd with a rendition of Adele’s Hello, Violet Grohl has been providing backing vocals for the band.

Video footage posted online shows Violet onstage in Toronto, with her rock icon dad praising her talents.

““That’s my boo!”, Grohl remarked after introducing Violet during a show in Toronto.

During another performance, he said: “Violet Grohl, you sound amazing!”

Other videos show Violet giving it her all as she performs ‘Dirty Water’ taken from latest Foos record ‘Concrete & Gold’.

She previously joined Grohl onstage in May, as he headlined a benefit concert for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in San Francisco. Meanwhile, Grohl recently revealed that he still gets “choked up” performing some of Foo Fighters‘ biggest hits on stage.

Discussing the band’s 1997 hit ‘Everlong’, Grohl told Rolling Stone that even after decades of touring he still feels emotional when singing the fan favourite.
“There are nights where you’re thinking about what toppings are on the pizza on the bus and whether you need to do laundry tomorrow, but when you launch into a song like that, it immediately brings you back,” he said.

“We’re not robots. What chokes me up is when I see people singing lyrics back to me with the same emotion.”
