The Killers’ Dave Keuning announces UK and Ireland tour

The guitarist will take his debut solo album 'Prismism' on the road

The KillersDave Keuning has announced a UK and Ireland headline tour in support of his debut solo album.

The guitarist released ‘Prismism’ last week (January 25) and will now take the record’s songs on the road.

The tour will kick off in Belfast on March 25, before continuing on to seven other cities across the UK and Ireland. It will conclude at London’s The Garage on April 2. Tickets for the dates will go on sale at 10am on Friday (February 1).

Keuning will play:

March 2019

24 – Belfast, The Limelight 2
25 – Dublin, Green Room at The Academy
26 – Glasgow, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut|
27 – Newcastle, O2 Academy 2
29 – Manchester, Gorilla
30 – Birmingham, O2 Academy 2

April 2019

1 – Bristol, Thekla
2 – London, The Garage

In a four-star review, NME said of ‘Prismism’: “As driving and dynamic a set of hooks as have graced any of the band’s albums, or frontman Brandon Flowers’ own solo records.”

Last year, Keuning told NME that he planned to keep working on solo material “from now on.”

“I really, really regret not doing it a lot sooner,” he said. “I really, really regret not doing it, like, 10 years ago. I guess my life has been pretty chaotic for the last ten years and I finally needed this break to get centred and not be on the road and just take a step back a second. And I finally felt like making a record.”

He also confirmed that he still wants to play with The Killers again in the future and would be up for using some of his songwriting on the Las Vegas band’s future releases. “If The Killers want to use some music, then great,” he said. “If they don’t then I’ll just put it out. I’ve got a lot more song ideas already in the works. So now that I’ve crossed this bridge, I’m really, really having fun with it.”
