Bowie also imitates Iggy Pop, Neil Young and others
An audio recording featuring David Bowie doing impersonations of an array of famous singers has surfaced online.
The clip was recently uploaded to Youtube and shared by The Talkhouse. It shows Bowie singing in the style of Bruce Springsteen, Iggy Pop, Tom Waits, Lou Reed, Neil Young and others.
The recordings date back to a 1985 studio session when Bowie was recording the theme for Julian Temple musical Absolute Beginners.
The tape has been uploaded by record producer Mark Saunders, who worked with Bowie at Westside Studios in London during those sessions.
Bowie recently passed away earlier this month (January 10), two days after his 69th birthday and the release of final album ‘Blackstar’.
