David Bowie has teased the forthcoming video for ‘Lazarus’ with a short, 15-second clip posted to his Facebook page.
The clip features the singer wearing an unsettling, white blindfold with eyeholes cut out, writhing in a hospital bed. Scroll down to see the clip.
The full video will be premiered on Thursday (January 7), while the six-minute track can be heard now.
‘Lazarus’ is the second single to be taken from Bowie’s 25th studio album ‘Blackstar’.
The album is due for release on Friday (January 8), which will also mark the singer’s 69th birthday.
Producer Tony Visconti previously stated that the record was influenced by Kendrick Lamar and will also feature LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. “We loved the fact Kendrick was so open-minded and he didn’t do a straight-up hip-hop record. He threw everything on there, and that’s exactly what we wanted to do,” said the producer of the Compton rapper. “The goal, in many, many ways, was to avoid rock & roll.”
