David Bowie recording new material in Berlin?

A Twitter message purportedly from Bowie suggests so

A user posting under the name ‘David Bowie‘ has left a message on social networking website Twitter saying that the star is recording new material in Berlin.

In the late ’70’s Bowie record three of his most popular albums – ‘Low’, ‘Heroes’ and ‘Lodger’ – in the city. The albums are now collectively known as his ‘Berlin Trilogy’.

The Twitter post says: “Cheers from a snowy Berlin! Working on some new material!”

However, the comment is yet to be officially confirmed to actually have been written or authorised by Bowie himself.

David Bowie‘s last studio album was 2003’s ‘Reality’ – a heart complaint then forced him to abandon his world tour in 2004.

In 2008, he sang backing vocals on Scarlett Johansson‘s album of Tom Waits covers, ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head’.
