Goldie is the subject of a new Channel 4 documentary being shown as part of the station’s multicultural series The Ba Ba Zee, which returns to the screens this month.
The hour-long programme, When Saturn Returnz, was directed by David Lawson from the Black Audio Film Collective, who filmed Goldie for more than two months.
It includes contributions from David Bowie, Noel Gallagher, Massive Attack’s 3D and members of Goldie’s many foster families in the midlands. Channel 4 will screen the film on Monday, December 14, at 11pm. Other artists featured in the new series include Neneh Cherry, Mica Paris and Des’ree.
Meanwhile, Goldie releases his new mini-album, ‘Ring Of Saturn’, on November 16 featuring six new tracks, including a reworking of the hour long ‘Mother’. He also plays a one-off live date at London Charing Cross Heaven nightclub this Thursday (November 5).
