David Bowie will definitely perform at Glastonbury this weekend, despite the cancellation of a NEW YORK show last Saturday (June 17) because of a throat infection.

A spokesperson told nme.com that a short bout of laryngitis led to the cancellation at Roseland Ballroom in New York. However, he said, Bowie was sufficiently recovered for his scheduled performance last night (June 19).

“Everything’s fine, it was just a one-off,” he said. “Glastonbury is in no danger.”

He added that the Thin White Duke had brought on the condition by “singing his throat out” at a show in the same venue last Friday.

Bowie will close this weekend festival, headlining the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night (June 25).
