David Bowie’s widow breaks silence for first time since star’s death

David Bowie‘s widow, Iman, has posted a message to social media for the first time since her late husband’s passing.

Bowie passed away last month (January 10) at the age of 69. He had been suffering from cancer for 18 months prior.

In the days leading up to Bowie’s death, Iman had posted a number of messages to Twitter including: “The struggle is real, but so is god” and “Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory”.

Now the former model and actress has posted a message that reads: “‘Love & Gratitude’ – Iman”. See that tweet below.

Bowie and Iman married in 1992. The couple had one daughter together, Alexandria Zahra Jones, who was born in 2000.

Just before his death, Bowie released his final album ‘Blackstar’, released on January 8 – Bowie’s 69th birthday. The album topped the charts in both the UK and US.
