TV presenter Pat Sharp has responded to claims that a new David Bowie mural in Sheffield looks more like him.
A tribute to Bowie located in the city’s Division Street was unveiled yesterday (February 3). The image depicts Bowie on his ‘Aladdin Sane’ album cover and follows a similar artwork seen in Bowie’s birthplace of Brixton in London.
However, social media users began joking that the mural looked more like Sharp than Bowie. The ex-Fun House host has now taken to Twitter to laugh off suggestions of a similarity.
“I don’t see it myself! Also to be mentioned for any reason in the same breath as Bowie is a bit odd to say the least,” Sharp wrote. See both the mural photo and Sharp’s tweets beneath.
Since his television career Sharp has mostly worked in radio. He was also a contestant on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2011.
