Death Cab For Cutie gear up for new album

They'll hit the studio this month

Death Cab For Cutie have revealed plans to enter the studio later this month to record the follow-up to 2005’s ‘Plans’.

The indie rockers have reportedly just finished two weeks of pre-production work, and intend to record the album in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco, according to Billboard.

They’re aiming to release the as-yet untitled album in spring 2008.

In other news, frontman Ben Gibbard is set to perform and chat with Daniel Handler, the author of ‘Lemony Snicket’, at the San Francisco City Arts and lecture series on Tuesday (September 11).
