Depeche Mode draw thousands to free LA show

The band take over Hollywood Boulevard to launch new album

Depeche Mode drew a crowd of thousands for a free show on the streets of Los Angeles last night (April 23).

The band performed a brief set on Hollywood Boulevard to celebrate the release of their new album ‘Sounds Of The Universe’. Part of the performance also aired on late-night television talk show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

The band thanked the crowd for waiting for hours to see them perform before kicking off their set with new single ‘Wrong’.

Dressed all in black, the band then ran through crowd-pleasing hits including ‘Personal Jesus’ and ‘Enjoy The Silence’.

Original members Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher – joined by a drummer and keyboardist – were in top form and appeared to devour the adulation from the crowd.
