Each of the three albums will feature different musical styles - but there's a new Destiny's Child album on the way before then...
All three vocalists from DESTINY’S CHILD are to release individual solo albums at the same time with each release featuring different styles of music.
Although no material has been recorded yet, it is understood that Kelly, cousin of lead singer Beyonce, will record a gospel album and Beyonce a hip hop soul record, for which she has been practising, having co-written and co-produced recent UK Number One single ‘Independent Women (PT1)’ with New York production duo Trackmasters.
To confuse matters all the more, Destiny’s Child’s have also confirmed the title of their forthcoming album as ‘Survivors’, and revealed the record may be released as early as February 2001 – leaving the summer free for them to drop their individual recordings.
The re-packed Destiny’s Child album ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’ was recently released and it includes the track ‘Get On The Bus’ which was the girls’ first collaboration with super-producer Timbaland. The song originally featured on the ‘Why Do Fools Fall In Love?’ soundtrack.
