DESTINY’S CHILD are being sued for breach of contract and negligence by a concert promoter over a show they never played in NEW MEXICO in June last year.
Promoters Clif Richey Jr and Maricela Delgado filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court this week against Destiny’s Child, including former member Farrah Franklin.
According to CDNow.com, the group had failed to play a show at Farmington Memorial Coliseum in New Mexico on June 16 last year.
They reached a settlement with the promoters on August 7 which included the condition that they play two concerts – one in Farmington and another in San Bernardino/Riverside County of Los Angeles – within six months of the settlement.
The promoters say they have not played the shows and are suing the group for alleged breach of written contract, general negligence, negligent interference with business relationship, and unfair business practices.
Richey and Delgado are seeking $25,000 and special damages.
