The acts all get four nods each...

BEYONCE KNOWLES, BIG BROVAZ and MERCURY MUSIC PRIZE nominee TERRI WALKER are topping the nomination list for this year’s MUSIC OF BLACK ORIGIN (MOBO) AWARDS, with four nods each.

Knowles is up for the Best Album, Best Single, Best Video and Best R&B Act awards, whilst the south London six-piece Big Brovaz will battle for the Best UK Act, Album, Video and Newcomer gongs.

Walker is nominated for Best Album, Best UK Act, and Best R&B Artist as well as Best Newcomer – a category which also includes fellow Mercury nominees, Dizzee Rascal and Floetry.

The eighth MOBO Awards will take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on September 25.

Jamaican dancehall star Sean Paul is hoping to replicate last year’s victory in the Best Reggae category, while Jay-Z, Mis-Teeq, Eminem and 50 Cent are all up for Best Hip-Hop.

Last year’s Best Garage act, [a][/a], are nominated for three categories this time, including UK Act Of The Year .
