The singer will also record a tune for the soundtrack of 'Fighting Temptation'...

BEYONCE KNOWLES is set to star in the forthcoming movie ‘THE FIGHTING TEMPTATIONS’ as a nightclub singer who turns to gospel.

Following her role in ‘Austin Powers: Goldmember’, the singer will also be recording a song for the soundtrack called ‘Fighting Temptation’, featuring Missy Elliott, MC Lyte and Free.

“It talks about everyday situations women go through,” Knowles said. “It’s about being attracted to this guy but having to fight the temptation. The change from the hip-hop part with ladies rapping to the chorus is incredible. It’s very loose, old school.”

The film soundtrack is set to feature Destiny’s Child, [/a], [a], Faith Evans and Knowles’ sister Solange.

Starring alongside Cuba Gooding Jr, Knowles plays Lilly, a “down-to earth country girl”. She added, “I didn’t want to do anything glamorous. I wanted people to see me in a different light.”

Knowles also spoke about the news stories that hinted that Solange would be joining as the fourth member of Destiny’s Child, saying: “That was a rumour… She’s working on her own stuff. Her lyrics are incredible. I don’t know where she gets her ideas.”

According to Rolling Stone, as well as writing a new album with Destiny’s Child later in the year, Knowles may also be planning to release to the follow up to ‘Dangerously In Love’ before the end of 2003.

“I have a lot of songs I didn’t put on my album,” she said. “There’s some great songs and I don’t want to waste them.”
