The soul queen enters rehab...

Veteran soul queen DIANA ROSS has checked into a rehab clinic to fight pills and alcohol addiction.

It is claimed Ross only moved into the Promises Centre in Malibu, California after her children insisted she get help.

She “voluntarily entered” about ten days ago, her spokesman Paul Bloch said yesterday (May 30), in order to prepare herself for an upcoming summer tour. “She wanted to be in great shape because she is someone who feels a sense of responsibility to her family and her fans,” he added.

While Bloch would not be drawn on the what she would be specifically seeking treatment for, reports in the US claim it to be because she had become dependent on painkillers after beginning to take them for an old injury. It is also claimed she was drinking wine day and night.

“She was becoming depressed and reliant on these substances,” a source told Us supermarket tabloid The National Enquirer.
