Dinosaur Jr. announce new album ‘Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not’

The band are also embarking on a tour

Dinosaur Jr are set to return this summer with a new album, ‘Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not’.

The trio, made up of J Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph, will release the follow-up to 2012’s ‘I Bet On Sky’ on August 5 via Jagjaguwar.

The band announced the news with a humourous video that features Henry Rollings, who describes Dinosaur Jr. as one of his “favourite bands and one of the best live bands ever”.

Since the release of their last album, the group’s members have largely concentrated on their solo projects. In 2014, Mascis released his solo album ‘Tied to a Star’, with Barlow also releasing his own, ‘Brace The Wave’, in 2015.

Dinosaur Jr. are also planning a tour in support of their new record with several dates lined-up in the UK and Ireland in September.
