Producer's hour-long mix was played on BBC Radio 1Xtra
Diplo has revealed his hour-long mix created for this year’s World Cup – scroll down and click to listen.
The producer’s mix was aired last night (June 12) on BBC Radio 1Xtra to coincide with the opening day of the 2014 World Cup, which is being held in Brazil, and includes remixes of Beyonce’s ‘End Of Time’, Kanye West’s songs ‘Black Skinhead’ and ‘Champion’, and The Black Keys’ ‘Howlin’ For You’.
In April of this year, Diplo and Haim joined USA footballers modelling the strip the national team will wear in the football tournament. It was reported last month, meanwhile, that the Major Lazer man will work with Madonna on her new album after the singer posted images of herself taking time out of a session with the producer on Instagram.
Major Lazer released their debut album ‘Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do’ in 2009. Its follow-up, ‘Free The Universe’ was released in April 2013 and featured collaborations with a wide variety of guest artists including Santigold, Dirty Projecters, Shaggy and Danielle Haim.
