Diplo spoofs Kim Kardashian’s Yeezy Season 6 campaign but she doesn’t seem to mind

Who wore it best?

Kim Kardashian roped in some big names to support her #YeezySeason6 campaign, and now Diplo has joined in unofficially with his own spin.

Yeezy Season 6 is the latest range from Kardashian’s husband Kanye West, and last year she promoted his brand by wearing all the collection’s looks in a number of paparazzi shots and social media posts.

This month they enlisted a number of other stars and social media influencers to mimic Kardashian’s poses as official ‘Kim Clones’ while wearing the Yeezy gear, including the likes of Abigail Ratchford, Sierra Sky and perhaps most strikingly, Paris Hilton.

Now Diplo has got in on the act with his rustic take on the campaign.

In the images posted on Twitter, the Major Lazer producer is seen wearing only black jeans and sneakers, holding a disposable coffee cup.

He’s also wearing a Kardashian-style blonde wig, and the post is hashtagged #YeezySeason6, of course.

Kardashian didn’t seem to mind about the spoof, though, as she quote-tweeted Diplo’s post with a trio of crying laughing emojis.

And the rest of the family seems to be okay with it too, as her brother Robert quote-tweeted Kim’s post with some more positive reactions.

The Kardashians have taken the gentle mockery better than Taylor Swift fans did when he seemed to insult her recent hit single ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.

Diplo suggested that the single wasn’t relevant and that young people would rather stream Post Malone’s ‘Rockstar’ and Cardi B’s ‘Bodak Yellow’, prompting a backlash from Swift fans.

He responded by pointing out that he doesn’t dislike all Swift tracks, and that he’s actually quite the fan of her ‘All Too Well’ from 2012’s ‘Red’ album.

This was a couple of years after he called her fans “an army that’s worse than North Korea” after his ill-advised comment that “someone should make a kickstarter campaign to get Taylor Swift a booty”.

Later this year, Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire will release the fourth Major Lazer studio album ‘Music is the Weapon’.
