Dirty Pretty Things make ‘arty’ new album

Carl Barat's band record in LA

Dirty Pretty Things are making an ‘arty’ second album, according to their manager.

The follow-up to 2006’s self-titled debut is currently being recorded in Los Angeles.

Manager Alan McGee said: “It’s great. We’ve got five or six really big songs this time on the album, whereas on the last album there was maybe only one really stand-out big hit.

“It’s really different as well. Much more arty and much more pop. It’s a really big change for them – it’s much more melodic.”

McGee also said new song titles included ‘Come Close’ ‘Plastic Hearts’ ‘Blood Red Shoes’ and ‘Fault lines’.

No release date has been announced, reports Xfm.
