Dirty Projectors pull out of Citysol in New York

And there's a surprise guest planned for the event

Dirty Projectors have cancelled their forthcoming slot at the Citysol , a green-geared event scheduled for to run June 26-29 in New York .

Scheduling conflicts have forced the band to pull out of the event, and Ottawa band The Acorn have replaced them on the bill. In addition, a surprise guest for Saturday’s show will be announced at the end of next week.

Current scheduled performers include Care Bears On Fire, Ecstatic Sunshine and Blitz The Ambassador.

Citysol is New York City‘s only solar-powered music, art and advocacy festival. The event will be once again held at Solar One‘s East River-side venue in Stuyvesant Cove Park.

Festival organisers ask that patrons bring a cup, or reuse the cup given, to make it a zero waste event and for discount on beer. Citysol is free and kid-friendly, 21+ to drink.
