Recording of 'Caracal' track comes from Brighton's Wild Life Festival
Disclosure have used their Beats 1 radio show to uncover a number of live tracks recorded at Brighton’s Wild Life Festival, most notably ‘Hourglass’, taken from forthcoming album ‘Caracal’.
The second album and follow-up to the hugely successful ‘Settle’ was announced back in June, and is named after a wild cat that caught the pair’s attention while in tour in 2014. It’s due out on September 25, and expected to feature Sam Smith, Lorde, The Weeknd and Miguel, amongst a number of other collaborators.
‘Hourglass’ is an entirely new cut, however, and features New York soul duo Lion Babe on vocals.
It’s played alongside a number of new live versions of other Disclosure tracks, including ‘Settle’ tracks ‘White Noise’ and ‘F For You’.
You can listen to the new track through the replay on iTunes, here. ‘Hourglass’ comes right at the end of the show, kicking in just before the 1hr 48-minute mark.
Gregory Porter, who features on the track ‘Holding On’, is the duo’s guest on the show.
Disclosure are yet to announce a UK tour in support of the new album, but are offering priority presale tickets to those who pre-order the album through their official website.
