Disclosure set to release new track ‘Bang That’ today (May 1)

The UK production duo teased the track via their social media accounts

Electronic duo Disclosure have teased what appears to be a new song called ‘Bang That’.

Following on from their hugely successful debut, the UK production duo posted an image to Instagram earlier today (April 30), with the picture showing a laptop displaying the artwork for a suspected new track. The caption of the image reads, “Tomorrow”, leading to speculation that the song will be released on Friday (May 1).

Disclosure’s debut album ‘Settle’ – which featured contributions from Sam Smith, AlunaGeorge, Eliza Doolittle and Jessie Ware – was released in 2013 and reached Number One in the UK. See the Instagram post in question below.

Disclosure recently denied claims that their biggest songs feature stolen lyrics. It was reported in January that a songwriter called Katie Farrah Sopher was suing the duo for £200,000, after claiming that the group’s hit tracks ‘White Noise’, ‘Latch’ and ‘You And Me’ used lyrics stolen from her personal songbook. Sopher alleged that the lyrics were taken by her ex-boyfriend Sean Sawyers and sold on to music industry contacts.

Disclosure wrote in a statement on that “every song we have put our names to has been written by us” and expressed their “frustration” at the claims.

The pair also confirmed they’re currently working on a new album. The statement continued: “We didn’t get into this industry to steal other people’s ideas and we haven’t – we are musicians, artists and producers. In better news… Album 2 is niiiiicely underway!”
