The chart-topping duo will play extra dates in Manchester and London
Disclosure have added more dates to their November UK tour.
The duo will be now be playing Manchester Warehouse Project on November 22 and another show at London O2 Academy Brixton on November 29. Tickets for the new dates go on sale June 14.
Disclosure recently posted a full statement on Facebook, defending themselves against the online outcry which met their performance at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at London’s Wembley Stadium over the weekend. The Official UK Albums Chart topping duo played the event with their decks unplugged and without wearing headphones, causing the I Love Bass Music Facebook group to accuse them of pulling a ‘David Guetta’, in reference to the French DJ who allegedly mimes some of his DJ sets.
Guy Lawrence of the band said that they had ‘pleaded’ with Capital FM to let them play live but they “just weren’t having it”. He added that they didn’t try and trick fans into thinking they were playing or mixing live, writing: “Notice also that we didn’t try and make it look like we were mixing. We left the fucking plug on the floor on purpose, didn’t even plug phono leads into the master out, turned all the EQs fully down and the master out AND DIDNT EVEN TAKE HEADPHONES for god’s sake!!”
